Mit vierzehn Jahren begann sie ihre musikalische Laufbahn bei der Civica Filarmonica ihrer Heimatstadt. Ein pr\u00e4gendes Treffen mit dem Oboisten Omar Zoboli im Jahr 1989 gab ihrer Entwicklung wichtige Impulse und f\u00fchrte sie an die Musik-Akademie Basel, wo sie ihre Ausbildung fortsetzte und 1995 das Lehrdiplom erhielt.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"565\" data-end=\"911\">Nach einem Praktikum beim Radio- und Sinfonieorchester Basel erlangte sie 1996 das Orchesterdiplom. Anschlie\u00dfend setzte sie ihr Studium an der Musikhochschule Z\u00fcrich bei Louise Pellerin fort. Dank eines Stipendiums der Bruno Schuler-Stiftung konnte sie sich ganz ihrer k\u00fcnstlerischen Weiterentwicklung widmen und schloss 1999 mit Auszeichnung ab.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"913\" data-end=\"1092\">Wichtige musikalische Anregungen erhielt sie zudem in Meisterkursen bei renommierten Oboisten wie Robin Canter, Han de Vries, Diethelm Jonas, Albrecht Mayer und Dominik Wollweber.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1094\" data-end=\"1470\">Als Orchestermusikerin sammelte Michela Scali wertvolle Erfahrungen in verschiedenen Klangk\u00f6rpern \u2013 darunter das Gustav Mahler Jugendorchester (unter der Leitung von Kent Nagano, Claudio Abbado und Franz Welser-M\u00f6st), die Camerata Academica Salzburg, das Kammerorchester Basel, das Orchestre Symphonique du Jura sowie das Orchester Philharmonique Suisse (Orphis).<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1472\" data-end=\"1765\">Auch kammermusikalisch ist sie vielseitig aktiv. Sie trat bei Festivals wie dem September Musical Montreux, dem Festival Oleg Kagan am Tegernsee und in Maribor auf. Von 1996 bis 2004 war sie Mitglied des Ensembles <em data-start=\"1686\" data-end=\"1695\">bariol\u00e9<\/em>, seit 2015 musiziert sie regelm\u00e4\u00dfig mit verschiedenen Formationen.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1767\" data-end=\"2258\">Neben ihrer k\u00fcnstlerischen T\u00e4tigkeit ist Michela Scali seit vielen Jahren engagierte Musikp\u00e4dagogin. Ihre Lehrt\u00e4tigkeit begann 1994 an der Musikschule Bad S\u00e4ckingen, f\u00fchrte sie sp\u00e4ter an die Allgemeine Musikschule Oberwallis und an die regionale Musikschule Liestal. Heute unterrichtet sie an der Musikschule Basel sowie an der Hochschule f\u00fcr Musik Basel.
